About Albert Einstein
The brilliant physicist Albert Einstein became an international icon for his groundbreaking theory of relativity. He was born in Germany in 1879 and began his seminal work while at the Swiss Patent Office.
He later fled the Nazi regime, moving to the United States to teach at Princeton. In 1921, he won the Nobel Prize. He declined Israel's invitation to become its president, saying he lacked the necessary people skills. He died in 1955.

About William Connor Magee
British prelate William Connor Magee was known as the Militant Bishop for his forceful speaking style, though he always worked for peace.
He was born in 1821 in Ireland. Extremely bright, he enrolled in Trinity College at age 13. Ordained to a curacy at St. Thomas's, Dublin, his fame as a speaker took him all the way to the powerful Archbishop of York.
He spoke several times in the House of Lords, arguing against the dissolution of the Irish Church and against national temperance laws.
He died in 1891.

About Margot Fonteyn
Margot Fonteyn, the elegant British prima ballerina, is considered one of the truly great dancers of our time. She was born in 1919 in Surrey. She made her debut in 1934 as a snowflake in Nutcracker and was a leading ballerina within four years. She flirted with retirement in the late 1950's until Rudolf Nureyev defected from the Soviet Union; he became her dancing partner for the next decade, a brilliant creative match despite their 20-year age difference. She died in 1991 in Panama.
